Gamestar Mechanic Teachers Guide

Gamestar Mechanic is an online game and community designed for 4th to 9th grade students. It teaches kids about the fundamentals of game design and systems thinking. By playing and creating games kids are given the opportunity to apply problem solving, design and story telling skills. The site was launched as a partnership between The Institute of Play and E-Line Media and is used as a teaching tool at Quest to Learn, a charter school in New York City.
